Dune- Quick First Look
The first official still for Dune has finally been released!
This image appears to be showing the central character on the planet of Caladan, which is where House Atreides originate from. The first book briefly takes part in Caladan in the beginning until the entire family and household travel to Arrakis, where the central story takes place.
The scene itself was likely filmed in Norway. Most of the filming took place in Hungary, presumably for the interiors and Jordan for the exterior of Arrakis. Some additional filming also took place in Austria, Slovakia and the United Arab Emirates.
Other cast members in the film include Oscaar Isaac (Star Wars), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), Josh Brolin (Avengers), Javier Bardem (Skyfall), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming).
Dune is expected to release on December 2020. Currently, there are no plans to delay the film.
